The prestigous Historium in Bruges is scheduled to open in Autumn 2012. The Historium will stimulate the five senses. Film, decor and special effects merge to conjure up a magical experience of Bruges in the beginning of the 15th century. Bruges brewery ‘De halve maan’ (the half moon) keeps on scoring with their beers. At the 7th European Beer Star awards, they won 2 golden medals. One in the category ‘Belgian Style Ale’ with ‘Brugse Zot Blond’ and one in the category ‘Belgian Style Dubbel’ with ‘Brugse Zot Dubbel’.

For the third year in a row, the Bruges beer ‘Brugse Zot‘ won a medal at the ‘World Beer Cup‘. This year it’s a silver one, in the category ‘Belgian-Style Blond Ale’. The most prestigious beer competition awards were presented Saturday, April 10th at the closing of the annual Craft Brewers Conference in Chicago.

Bruges brewery ‘De halve maan’ (The half moon) won another 3 medals for their beers. At the European Beer Star awards in Berlin, ‘De halve maan’ won a gold medal for ‘Straffe Hendrik‘ in the category ‘Belgian Style Tripel’, another gold medal for ‘Brugse Zot double brown‘ in the category ‘Belgian Style Dubbel’ and a bronze medal for ‘Brugse Zot Blond‘ in the category ‘Belgian Style Ale’.
There participated 836 beers from 36 countries in 41 categorie.

For the second year in a row, the Bruges beer ‘Brugse Zot‘ wins the gold medal on the ‘World Beer Cup‘ in the category ‘Belgian- and French-Style Ale’. The prestigious World Beer Cup awards were presented Saturday, April 19 at the close of the annual Craft Brewers Conference in San Diego (California) to a crowd of 1500 excited brewers and their colleagues.
