£24 each way, car + 4 people. Dover - Dunkerque. Limited offer

The prestigous Historium in Bruges is scheduled to open in Autumn 2012. The Historium will stimulate the five senses. Film, decor and special effects merge to conjure up a magical experience of Bruges in the beginning of the 15th century. There will be 7 thematic rooms: you’ll be able to discover a panoramic view on the medieval harbour, to nose around in Van Eyck’s studio and to breathe in the heavenly aromas and listen to the naughty giggles emanating from the bathhouse…

The Historium will also have a beer café with a shop and a breathtaking view over the town square of Bruges

The amazing trailer can be found here:

Cheap Ferry to France
£24 each way, car + 4 people. Dover - Dunkerque. Limited offer
(Only 1H from BRUGES)

This week, Google started taking panoramic pictures in the historic center of Bruges. Because Bruges has some narrow streets Google uses a bike, called the Street View Trike, to take pictures.

At the end of this year, everyone should be able to virtually visit Bruges via Google street view.

Update 23/11/2011: Bruges (and the rest of Belgium) is available in Google Street View

  • The first pub Ken and Ray visited in Bruges. It’s called ‘Zwart Huis’ (Black house). ‘Zwart huis’ is the pub of the former ‘cinema liberty’ and ‘English Theatre of Bruges’. It was built in 1482 and you can still see some valuable interior details such as the wonderful woodsculpture above the fireplace. In july and August 2008, there are daily showings of ‘In Bruges’.
